St. Michael's Church is located at the southern entrance to the university town of Tübingen. The new parish hall develops from a uniform church square and creates a new building ensemble through the formulation of different structures in interaction with the church, which is intended to represent the parish in the cityscape. The division of a massive volume into several smaller structures creates diverse insights and outlooks and conveys transparency and openness.  A community hall facing the street and a spacious, open foyer bring community life back into the cityscape.
